To make it short: lovely looking veener, nice presanding, not so great hardware, but thats a typical case at diy-kit guitars :-).
I built a lot of kits, but this here was my first with a set in neck. The neck and body luckily match well together, and i dont think they will fall apart :-). Also the neck is great, good level and no sharp edges.
Now to the not so great things:
- its hard to match the colour on neck and body with different woods if you stain and oil your guitar…a maple neck or maybe a veener on the headstock would have been great :-/
- the string trough bushing holes are to wide on the back (they fall out and i had to glue them in with a lot of superglue…) and the holes on the front were to narrow and must be drilles bigger by yourself (wasnt a problem for me because i wanted no bushings on the front)
- long shipping and fee for importing into europe (germany). But vibeworks isnt guilty about that, blame the gouvernment :-P
Summary: i will purchase again if i plan to do a new project. Thank you for providing such good diy-kits
PS: i replaced the stock hardware from the kit with my own hardware i had laying around. I only used the body, neck and the string bushings.
