2025 Tariffs Update

April 2, 2025

Today Donald Trump announced a 34% tariff on Chinese goods, on top of a previously announced 20% tariff. This is a total tax of 54% on all of our products entering the country, paid by us at Vibeworks Guitars. China doesn't pay for tariffs, we do. If we were to import products at this time, we'd need to raise our prices at least 40% just to stay profitable.

At this time we have cancelled future orders from our production partners. We will sell from our current stock until its gone, then pause the business until a rational solution is found by governing parties.

As many of you know, parts made completely in the USA are available, at approximately 400% higher prices than the parts that we sell.

While we purchase inventory from China, we are a US company, we provide several jobs directly, as well as adding to the local economy through our ecommerce channel partners, shipping partners, and agencies we work with. None of this is possible without reasonably priced products.

We are hopeful that this is a temporary situation and we will be able to resume business soon.
